When Gilks first went missing, I was... energized; It seemed like a call to action that could not be ignored. My subsequent actions have come to nothing and the months drag on. My motivation is sapped. Hollister comes and vanishes and reappears and I have no idea what's going on there. It occurs to me I don't really have any good contacts in the Nexus, or I might be more informed. I'd like to blame someone or something else for this but I do spend the majority of my time these days running up my tab at Hollister's, an allowance that seems to continue regardless of her status as a missing or non-missing person.
I need something new, something to kick myself into action again. I need something more interesting to look for than missing cats.

Excellent day to dig a very big hole. Use it to bury your personal bluebird of happiness. The cat killed it.
:P
In other news, I'm getting older next month.

A Black Bishop You scored 1 Power-Finesse, 5 Leader-Follower, 4 Unique-Ordinary, and 2 Offense-Defense! |
You are conniving and sneaky, and often overlooked by your opponent. You are content to stay off to one side, allowing the bloodbath to ensue. Then, when the moment is right and the other king has let his guard down you strike! Your indirect approach to things gives your team more options. However, in the big picture you are expendable. No matter how hard you try, you can only reach half the squares on the board. |

Date: 2006-10-26 04:44 pm (UTC)I'm having a Halloween party on the 31st; I'd be dead chuffed if you came. The theme is Rogue's Gallery. Come as your favorite villain. :D
Also, when's your birthday? Mine's eleven November.

Date: 2006-10-26 08:48 pm (UTC)Mmmm... I like the idea of a fountain of youth OF booze, only catch is you drink too much of it and suddenly you're underage again.
Party? Where? At the pub? I'd love to come, it sounds like an excellent distraction, but I'll have to think about the costume bit. I'm not that kind of detective.
November 27, I'll put yours on my datebook.
Re: *Text!*
Date: 2006-10-26 10:57 pm (UTC)And, wait, your flat is cold? Do you want me to get somebody over there for you? To fix things, I mean?
The party's going to be at my flat, as a matter of fact. *Directions to the flat, along with PINpoint coordinates, included here.* I'd love it if you came. Seriously. :D
Re: *Text!*
Date: 2006-10-26 11:27 pm (UTC)Ahem.
Hmmm... so this means I get to see where you live? Posh mansion, is it? To go with your holiday and weekend castle getaway? I'll be there, barring quantum interference, of course.
((Will there be LOL? Pleeease tell there will be Nexus LOL?))
Re: *Text!*
Date: 2006-10-26 11:44 pm (UTC)I'm serious. I can get contractors over to you ASAP and get your place fixed. We'll just add it to your bottomless tab, shall we? ;)
((Maaaaaaybe. :3 There's always shenanigans at Hipster's parties.))

Date: 2006-10-26 11:57 pm (UTC)((I am seriously still looking for an excuse to get him turned into a cat. I thought I'd have him come to the party dressed as one. Since you said villains, he'll claim he's supposed to be Macavity.))

Date: 2006-10-27 03:14 am (UTC)I dunno. But it's fun. It makes the pretty noises they do in the movies, too.

Date: 2006-10-27 02:10 pm (UTC)Yes, but where did you get it? Or was it a gift? I'm curious now, even though I probably shouldn't have one. Especially if I'm getting the front wall fixed.
